The non-profit organisation CarbonFix provides project developers
credible criteria to certify the
quality of their climate forestation projects together with the quantification of their
carbon credits.
Independent third party
evaluations have judged the CarbonFix Standard as best standard for the voluntary carbon market.
Although,
the criteria of the standard are structured in an
easy and understandable way, some project developers might need further
assistance. Therefore, different
professional
consultancies offer their support. Some of them also provide the possibility of
financial investment.
The
initial certification costs are largely dependent on the scale,
complexity, and location
of the projects, as well as the
certification company. In average the price for the initial certification is about € 15 000 (US$ 20 000).
Further certification rounds cost around € 8 000 (US$ 10 000).
