13.05.2008 Site event at CBD: Biodiversity in climate forest projects
During the COP9 of the CBD, on the 21st of May, at 18:15 in room 1150, CarbonFix will organise and event on biodiversity in climate forest projects:
The carbon sequestrating property of forests mobilizes new resources for reforestation and afforestation. This new tool should however also guarantee social and environmental co-benefits. A climate forest project should go beyond sequestration. At this site event a panel consisting of a project developer, environmental NGO and carbon buyer will share their views on the topic. The discussion leader is a representative from the CarbonFix Standard.
