 GEORGIA | The project "Afforestation with
Hazelnut Plantations in Western Georgia" sequesters carbon on previously
abandoned land in a poor rural region near the Black Sea coast. It
halts ongoing land degradation by improving its natural resources, while
also providing much needed, sustainable and long-term income
opportunities to local communities. |

Bauminvest Reforestation |

 COSTA RICA | BaumInvest has established a
remarkable ecologically and socially sound reforestation project with
tropical precious woods in Central America. The aim of the project is to
reforest pasture land previously used for extensive cattle ranching in
northern Costa Rica using mixed stands of various indigenous tree
species as well as teak. |

CO2OL Tropical Mix |
|
 PANAMA | CO2OL Tropical Mix is a project of
the ForestFinance Group. The project area amounts to 399 ha on the
Pacific coast of Panama. Degraded pastureland is being reforested with a
mix of native tree species and teak. Up to 100 employees are taking
care of the forests. CO2OL reforests degraded pastureland with a mixture
of native tree species and Teak in Panama, to sequester carbon and
produce fine tropical timber. |

Kikonda Forest Reserve |

 UGANDA | The Kikonda Forestation is a prize
winning project in the heart of East Africa. It comprises 120 km² and
employs more than 600 people. It is the first project world wide, to be
certified with the CarbonFix Standard and the Climate, Community and
Biodiversity Alliance (CCBA) Standard for its one-of-a-kind positive
social and ecological impact. |

 VIETNAM | CO2OL Biodiversity is a project of
two parties, the ForestFinance Group and the SFE (State Forest
Enterprise). The reforestation of former fallow land or excessively used
grasslands in Vietnam through the exclusive planting of native species. |

deliver water quality, erosion, biodiversity and climate benefits to
the community of Sodo in Southern Ethiopia. |

 NICARAGUA | Province of León. More than 200
hectares of depleted and overexploited agricultural land have been
reforested with 3 native tree species and one exotic tree species. At
least 200 hectares will be certified for CO2 mitigation according to the
CarbonFix standard. This safeguards the long term sustainable
management of the plantation. |
