has implemented a remarkable ecological reforestation project with teak
and at least 50 % native tree species in mixed stands on degraded
pasture land in Costa Rica. The project area covers 210 ha and is part
of the habitat of the Great Green Macaw and other endangered species.

in Inner-Mongolia is caused by overgrazing, because local people
largely depend on grazing to earn the income. Our challenge is to
create a totally new sustainable structure to mitigate desertification
and maintain stability in their lives.

 Vietnam | A project of the ForestFinance Group. CO 2OL-forests are established for CO 2-sequestration only- no commercial logging or thinning. Native species are being planted, ensuring higher biodiversity levels and the protection of the ecosystem. The reforestation project helps to build up ecological structures in an area which was previously a battle site during the Vietnam War.

Uganda | The Kikonda Forestation is a prize winning project in the heart of East
Africa. It comprises 100km² and employs over 200 people. It is the
first in the country to be granted CarbonFix certification
for its one-of-a-kind positive social and ecological impact.
Panama | A project of the ForestFinance Group. The project area amounts to over 380 ha on the Pacific coast of Panama. Degraded pastureland is being reforested with a mix of native tree species and teak. Up to 100 employees are taking care of the forests.

Peru | The aim is to develop a long term sustainable forestry program to create a sustainable production of timber, firewood and NTFPs, thereby lowering the pressure on the existing natural forests in the middle part and the lower part of the Sierra Piura.
Ethiopia | The Sodo project seeks to restore 516 ha of degraded communal land and establish vegetation on 20% of the 1600 ha of private farmland.
Paraguay | The project plants native and exotic tree species north of the city Concepción. It covers an area of 650 ha and employs over 15 people. It is managed by global-woods – a leading company implementing worldwide climate forestation projects.
